How to Use Shelfwise
ProductsPilot builds your products, lists them and sends traffic. Shelfwise handles what comes after: what each sale actually pays you (Priced), the steps ProductsPilot hands back to you (Handoff), and whether your shelf is working (Tally). New here? Start with Priced → Net-Per-Sale, then log every sale in Tally → Sales Log.
Before you start
There's nothing to set up. Everything you enter saves automatically in this browser, so you can close the tab and pick up where you left off. Each module works on its own. Where one tool can use another's numbers (your fee settings, your best sellers), it picks them up automatically.
P Priced — know what each sale really pays
Open the Priced tab. Its three tools are listed across the top of the tab.
- Net-Per-Sale. Type your price into Sale price ($). The table shows what you keep on Etsy, Gumroad and your own site after every fee. Tick This Etsy sale came through Offsite Ads to see the 15% Offsite Ads fee. Open Edit fee rates if a platform changes its fees; every other tool uses these rates. Reset to defaults puts them back.
- Price Point Picker. Choose your Product category, enter Pieces in the set, tick the Extras included, and set Competition in your niche and Your shop stage. You get a specific price inside the category's price band, with the reason behind it. Send to Payback Planner carries the price across.
- Payback Planner. Choose What you paid, confirm Average sale price ($), and split your sales across platforms. It tells you how many sales pay back your purchase, and how many cover a month of Etsy listing fees.
- Every tool has Save and Copy buttons. Saved runs appear underneath: Open puts all your inputs back so you can tweak and recalculate, and Delete removes the run.
H Handoff — the steps ProductsPilot leaves to you
Open the Handoff tab.
- Handoff Queue. After every product you build, enter its Product name and press Add Product. Tick each step as you do it: Etsy listing pasted, Published on Gumroad, Link on my site / bio. Use the + and − buttons to count Q&A drafts and guest-post pitches as ProductsPilot writes them and as you post or send them. The Stuck filter shows products that are live on Gumroad but were never pasted to Etsy. Today's Handoff List is your to-do list for today.
- Buyer Reply Kit. Fill in Shop name and the formats your product includes once. Paste a buyer's message into Buyer's message and press Write Reply. It works out what the buyer needs (printing, sizes, downloading, tablet planners, licence questions, refunds) and writes a reply you can copy into Etsy or Gumroad.
- Credit Planner. Pick the Month you're building in and the categories you make. If you log sales in Tally, press Pull My Sales From Tally; otherwise type your sales per category. Press Build My Plan to see how to split your 15 monthly products, weighing upcoming seasons, what already sells for you, and what each category pays.
- Each tool has Save, Copy, Open and Delete. In the Queue, Save keeps a snapshot of the whole queue, and Open restores it after asking you to confirm.
T Tally — the numbers ProductsPilot can't see
Open the Tally tab. ProductsPilot has no access to your marketplace sales, so this is where you keep them.
- Sales Log. For each sale, fill in Date, Product, Category, Platform and Price ($), then press Log Sale. Fees and net are worked out for you. Use Show to pick a month. Export CSV downloads everything as a spreadsheet file.
- Listing Triage. Add each listing with its Date listed, then copy Views, Favourites and Sales from your Etsy or Gumroad stats (update them weekly in the table). Count Sales From Sales Log fills in sales for you. Each listing gets a verdict (Too early, Visibility problem, Conversion problem, Promising, Winner) and a next step.
- Monthly Report. Pick the Report month and press Build Report for a one-page statement: money in, fees, net, best platforms and categories, how many products you added compared with the 15-a-month pace, and your winners. Print gives a clean printout or PDF.
One thing to know
Shelfwise has no accounts and no server, so your sales figures never leave your device. Everything is stored in this browser only: a different browser or computer starts empty, and clearing your browser data erases it. Use Export CSV in the Sales Log now and then to keep a copy. The default fee rates are the platforms' published rates when Shelfwise was built. Check them against your own fee statements and adjust them in Edit fee rates if needed.

Handoff
Every step ProductsPilot hands back to you, queued, drafted and ticked off.
ProductsPilot publishes to Gumroad by itself, but the Etsy paste, the Q&A answers and the guest-post pitches are yours to do. Track them here.
Paste a buyer's message, then press Write Reply.
Seasonal categories are pushed about six weeks early, because listings need time to get indexed before the rush.
Choose your categories, then press Build My Plan.
Tally
ProductsPilot can't see your sales. Tally can.
Copy views and favourites from Etsy's Stats page or your Gumroad analytics. Update them in the table as they change.
The report uses your Sales Log and Listing Triage data.
Pick a month, then press Build Report.
